Formerly the YWCA of Northwest Georgia, liveSAFE Resources, located in Cobb County, is committed to providing services that increase the awareness and reduce the occurrence of domestic violence, sexual assault and elder abuse. We offer counseling, housing (immediate and transitional), legal advocacy, a 24/7 crisis line and other services, all focused on helping our community and their families live safe.

In a typical year in the State of Georgia…

  • 45 state certified shelters answer over 72,000 crisis line calls, provide safe housing for around 8,000 victims and their children and provide over 800,000 services to victims and their children.

  • 25 state funded sexual assault crisis centers provide over 60,000 services to victims of rape and sexual assault, serve over 3,700 victims of rape and sexual assault and answer close to 8,000 crisis calls.

  • an average of more than 100 adults and children are killed in domestic violence incidents.
