MARIETTA, GA. June 5, 2023 – LiveSafe Resources, a leading organization dedicated to providing safety and healing to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, announces the departure of its long-time executive director, Tracey Atwater, who will be leaving on June 30, 2023, to pursue a new opportunity. While saddened by Atwater’s departure, the organization is excited and supportive of her decision to pursue her dream role, and she will continue to serve the community as a donor and volunteer of LiveSafe Resources! Atwater has been instrumental in driving the success of LiveSafe Resources, leaving an indelible impact on both the staff and the community. Her dedication and contributions will be deeply missed.

To ensure a smooth transition, the LiveSafe Resources Board of Directors has established a Transition Committee, led by Jason Saliba, a Board member and former chairperson. This committee will be responsible for identifying the perfect candidate to fill the role of Executive Director. Additionally, a Staff Support Committee, led by Allison Giddens, has been created by the Board of Directors to provide comprehensive support to the entire LiveSafe Resources staff during this transition.

In the interim, we are pleased to announce that Mallori Bruning, current Chief Administrative Officer for LiveSafe Resources, will assume the role of Interim Executive Director until a permanent replacement is appointed. Bruning brings her extensive experience and dedication to this role, and she is committed to upholding LiveSafe Resources’ mission of serving survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

The LiveSafe Resources team, along with the Board of Directors, remains steadfast in our commitment to providing safety and healing to survivors. We will continue our vital work during this transition period and look forward to the future, as we continue to make a difference in the community.
