MARIETTA, GA. January 20, 2024 – LiveSafe Resources is proud to present the honorees for the 39th Annual Tribute to Women of Achievement. Each year, the organization honors fifteen women leaders nominated by their peers who demonstrate outstanding leadership in their personal, professional, and volunteer endeavors. These fifteen outstanding women from the metro Atlanta area were recently chosen through a competitive application process, and one of them will also be named “2024 Woman of the Year” at the Tribute to Achievement gala on March 22, 2024.

The women to be honored this year join a prestigious group of more than 600 honorees over the past 38 years, known as the Academy of Women Leaders, who have been recognized for their contributions in their professions and the community. The 2024 honorees are:

  • Tiffany Barney, Director of the Cobb Innovation & Technology Academy, Cobb County Schools
  • Ann Burris, Deputy Commissioner, Georgia Department of Human Services
  • Mary Chatman, Executive Vice President, Wellstar Health System
  • Joy Doss, Attorney, The Doss Firm LLC
  • Alisha Hargett, Office Operations Manager, SCANA Energy
  • Julie Jacobs, Judge, Superior Court of Cobb County
  • Lisa Lawrence, Commercial Lender, LGE Community Credit Union
  • Audrey Lewis, Associate, Gregory, Doyle, Calhoun & Rogers
  • Shelly Owens, Director of Stakeholder Engagement, Cobb Community Foundation

The 2024 Tribute to Women of Achievement gala will take place at the Renaissance Waverly Atlanta Hotel & Conference Center on Friday, March 22 at 6:00 pm. Corporate sponsorships and individual tickets are still available for purchase on the LiveSafe Resources website. The evening will feature a social reception, dinner program and silent auction with more than 150 items, including the organization’s popular Purse Auction. The gala will honor the 2024 Women of Achievement and highlight the work of LiveSafe Resources to serve victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in our community.

Additionally, the evening will honor recipients of the Pat Head Dignity Award, recognizing a member of law enforcement, victim services, a legislator, or community partner who exemplifies the standard of “doing the right thing” when serving victims of domestic violence or sexual assault, and the Kim Gresh Survivor’s Award, presented to a survivor whose unique story inspires others and reflects the mission of LiveSafe Resources.
